Summer Camps 2026

We will be learning practical self-defence as well as traditional Karate techniques.

The camps are for kids aged 5 to 13.

Summer Camp 1

July 27th to July 31st

10am to 2pm

St Peter's Community School, Passage West

Aug 10th to Aug 14th

10am to 2pm

Fee

Fee for the week - €150 

A 5% discount will be applied for those who register for both camps.

Sibling discount: Child 1 - full fee, Child 2 - 10% off, Child 3 - 15% off

Summer Camp 2026

Please use this form to register for the Summer Camps.


Full week fee is €150 and full payment is due by mid June. A €20 deposit will be required to secure the spot.


This camp is for kids aged 5 to 13.


We will be learning practical self-defence as well as traditional Karate techniques.


Please note that Karate is a CONTACT SPORT and students will be engaging in contact sparring. If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.


A 5% discount will be applied for students who register for both camps.


Children should bring water and lunch. No NUTS or SEAFOOD is allowed as we have students with allergies.

Summer Camp 2026

Equipment

Students must bring a gum shield to the summer camp. A Karate gi may be worn but will not be mandatory for the camp.


Students should wear something comfortable to exercise in. We will train barefoot on tatami mats.


If the student has karate sparring equipment, please bring it. If not, we will lend them gloves for sparring.

Medical History

We must be informed immediately of any changes to the student's medical condition.

Does the student have history with any of the following conditions:
Does the student have any allergies?
Does the student take any medications?
Does the student have any physical limitations?
Does the student have any history of surgeries?
Does the student have any history of injuries?
Has the student's doctor ever advised them against any form of exercise?
Has the student been diagnosed with or is undergoing evaluation for any special educational needs such as ASD, ADHD, etc
Does the student have any other limitations that must be addressed when developing an exercise plan?

By registering as a member, you agree on behalf of yourself and your child to abide by the rules adopted by the Dojo, including safety rules as they may be amended from time to time. By registering as a member, students automatically become members of ONAKAI, the NGB for Karate in Ireland. This means students and parents are also agreeing to abide by ONAKAI rules and follow their code of conduct. Student's details must be shared with ONAKAI (the NGB for Karate in Ireland). Participant Agreement, Release and Assumption of Risk

In consideration of the services of FH Karate Team, their agents, owners, officers, volunteers, participants, employees, and all other persons or entities acting in any capacity on their behalf (hereinafter collectively referred to as “FH Karate Team” and/or “releases”), I hereby agree to release, indemnify, and discharge FH Karate Team, on behalf of myself, my spouse, my children, my parents, my heirs, personal representative and estate as follows


● Karate is a physical activity that carries inherent risk, and may be dangerous to myself or others.


● Karate is a combat, contact sport where students will be engaging in contact sparring.


●Karate is a martial art and contact sport. People can and do get injured and we cannot accept responsibility for any such injury, loss or accident arising from your participation in our training, competitions or associated activities and ask that you are aware, agree and accept this by entering or giving permission to join classes or events.


● Students must bring their own equipment to each class and wear them during training. When protective equipment has become damaged or worn, it must be replaced.


● While protective equipment such as gloves, shin guards, chest guards, helmets and gum shields assist in reducing the risk of injury, it does not eliminate the risk entirely.


● In order to ensure the student's safety, glasses must be removed during sparring sessions which includes sparring drills also. Nails must be kept short and long hair must be tied. No jewellery should be worn during class. Students must train barefoot, socks are not allowed as they can be slippery.


● I will inform FH Karate Team of injuries or relevant medical history.


● It is the responsibility of everyone, or parent / guardian of a student if under 18 years of age, to have their own insurance cover for joining classes, events or competitions.


● We are required by ONAKAI, the National Governing Body for Karate in Ireland, to share the students details with ONAKAI.


● I take responsibility to follow all instructions given for use of equipment and implementation of safety measures. I agree to abide by the rules adopted by the Dojo, including safety rules as they may be amended from time to time. I acknowledge that my child's membership may be revoked for violation of any safety rules.


Finally I agree that by participating in FH Karate Team training activities, I do so entirely at my own risk. I am voluntarily participating in these activities and use of these facilities and premises and assume all risks of injury, illness, or death.


Photography Waiver


Photo Release: FH Karate Team takes photos and videos periodically to capture what happens in our classes and events. Your (Students and any other person present in the hall) image may be captured and used in FH Karate Team media.


FH Karate Team is not responsible for any loss or damage of my personal property.


I acknowledge that I have carefully read this “waiver and release” and fully understand that it is a release of liability. I expressly agree to release and discharge FH Karate Team from any and all claims or causes of action and I agree to voluntarily give up or waive any right that I may otherwise have to bring a legal action against FH Karate Team for personal injury or property damage. If any portion of this release from liability shall be deemed by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, then the remainder of this release from liability shall remain in full force and effect and the offending provision or provisions severed here from. 

By agreeing to these terms, I acknowledge that I understand its content and that this release cannot be modified orally.
